EDITORIAL EYE CANDY: LILY ALDRIDGE [ MARIE CLAIRE MARCH 2010 ]

Spotted these shots of Lily Aldridge for the latest issue of Marie Claire and HAD to re-post them. I love Lily and her two-toned hair, it reminds me of the beach. I love the styling in this editorial, and those Alexander Wang sandals are to DIE for. I also love the piles and piles of jewelry, I used to wear a ton of bangles but stopped for some reason - I'll definitely be bringing it back soon.

ACNE PRE-FALL

Spotted this shot over at Le Fashion originally and went back to the original source at Caroline's Mode (peep the link to see more shots of the presentation). I didn't get my hands on Acne's last version of monumental wedges (nor did I snag the Jeffrey Campbell lookalikes), but I'm thinking these mayyy need to be mine. It's rare to come across a wedge so perfect.

ELLE GREECE FEBRUARY 2010

I love the styling in this editorial from Elle Greece's February 2010 issue. The only part I'm disliking is the backdrop- I feel as though this would be much better suited against a landscape, don't you think? However, I do think the muted background does leave the focus on the clothes. The bottom two looks are my favorite.

WITCHES S/S 2010

No matter how much I try to incorporate color into my wardrobe I always gravitate back towards the always-popular black. It's a bulletproof plan for winter styling, but come spring and summer it's a little tough to rock all-black- especially on those 90-degree summer days. So I was pretty excited to see the latest collection from Gabby Applegate's clothing line Witches... can you guess what it's inspired by?

Check out some of my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection below.. open backs, crop tops, detailed leggings and the perfect amount of lace. These pieces are a simple way to incorporate black into your warmer-month wardrobe.

Emma Silk Star Tie Dress $110

BGM Poncho $86

Wolfpack A-Symmetrical Dress $138

Alison Lace Slip $65. Silk Slip Dress $65

Alice Silk Crop Top w Silk Cross and Pocket $65, Courtney Lace Up Legging $65

SCHOOL'S IN SESSION

Remember back in middle school when every single kid (including me) had an LL Bean backpack embroidered with their initials? Well Louis Vuitton's New Age Traveler Backpack is wayyy cooler... but costs a smidge more. It retails for $54,000, to be exact.
